Wings Over the Piedmont: Safe Habitats, Thriving Flyways
Join us in our mission today!
Creating a thriving network of connected primarily small refuges across North Carolina's Piedmont region—from the South Carolina border to Virginia—provides safe zones for waterfowl and upland birds to repopulate and flourish (with larger tracts serving as strategic
enhancements where beneficial), supported by technology for real-time monitoring and public engagement, sustaining healthier ecosystems, enhanced opportunities for sportsmen, and enriched rural communities for future generations.

Our Mission
To conserve, restore, and manage habitats for waterfowl, upland game birds, and associated wildlife—including the insects and small plant species essential to their ecosystems—primarily through a network of small (2-10 acre) no-contact refuges spaced within 10 miles of each other in North Carolina's Piedmont region (while opportunistically incorporating larger tracts that enhance connectivity or habitat quality), promoting connected flyways, healthier bird populations, and benefits for sportsmen, communities, and biodiversity.

Wild Wings Conservancy is dedicated to preserving habitat for wildlife and expanding bird populations.
We create homes for birds while promoting education and encouraging interaction with our youth.
